Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Legalens (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service does

The Service lets you upload contracts and uses automated AI models to produce summaries, coverage-strength scores, comparisons, limitation checks, deadline extraction and reminders.

3. Not legal or professional advice

Outputs are generated automatically, may be incomplete or wrong, and are provided for information only. Coverage scores are indicative; they are not a guarantee of cover, a prediction of claim outcomes, or legal, insurance or financial advice. Always verify against the original contract and consult a qualified professional before making decisions. Reminders are a convenience and you remain responsible for meeting every contractual deadline.

4. Your account

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.

5. Your content

You retain all rights in the documents you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them solely to provide the Service to you. You confirm you are entitled to upload them and that doing so does not breach confidentiality obligations or third-party rights. Do not upload unlawful content or content you are not permitted to share.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service, attempt to bypass usage limits or security, interfere with its operation, scrape or resell it, or use it to harm others.

7. Plans, billing and limits

Free and paid plans have storage, file size and usage limits shown on the pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe, renew automatically until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Except where the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change prices or limits with reasonable prior notice.

8. Availability and changes

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation and may modify or discontinue features.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from reliance on AI-generated output, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. On termination your content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the Service; continued use afterwards means you accept the updated Terms.
